Effective January 5, unit leaders will be able to submit local and national tour permits electronically. This new system takes just four easy steps, and it will save the transportation and training information, so leaders can easily recall it for future permit applications.

Go to www.myscouting.org and create a profile or if you already have a profile don’t forget to update your profile to include this handy new tool!

2010 National Scout Jamboree

Slots are no longer available for 2010 positions.  Those attending should maintain contact with MyScouting.org to find the latest information.  Three Rivers will be represented by a number of youth and several leaders both on Jamboree Staff and with Jamboree Troops attending.  2010 will be a fantastic experience for all.

District leadership understands that some local units will be visiting the Jamboree as a part of a trip to the Washington DC area during the Jamboree.

Mr Langley encourages everyone to stop by K2BSA, the amateur radio station while at Jambo.  The station will be in operation 24/7 during the Jamboree.  Youth attending wishing to earn a radio license or merit badge may do so by contacting leadership at the Merit Badge Midway or at the radio station location.  Federal Communications examiners will be available and offering testing for youth and adults.
